Jesus, You were the One who would rescue,  deliver,  redeem,  ransom,  reclaim, and save me - by being the RANSOM for my sin.  This was the reason You came to earth.   Everything You did pointed to it.  This is not what I expected when I started studying Your names, Jesus.  I thought they would be beautiful names that would be somehow applicable to my everyday life.  But instead they ALL point to the Gospel.   The reason You came to live on earth and the reason You died.   I am truly blown away by this - and humbled and in awe of who You are.  Your only purpose was to die for me.  It is not ONE OF THE THINGS You came to do - it is the ONE THING You came to do.     I am speechless, cannot comprehend, cannot grasp why You would do such a thing.   Oh Jesus, there is no way I can adequately thank You for giving Your life for mine.  May I live in awareness of what You did for me.  May it change the way I live my life.    I worship You as the ultimate RANSOM - the One who lay down His life for me.
