#43 SOVEREIGN

"Do you not know?  Have you not heard?  Has it not been declared to you from the beginning?  Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?  It is He who sits above the vault of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, who stretches out the heavens like a curtain and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.  He is is who reduces rulers to nothing.  Who makes the judges of the earth meaningless."  Isaiah 40:21-23  

"Are not five sparrows sold for two cents?  Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  Do not fear; you are of more value than many sparrows." Luke 12:6-7 

DEFINITION of SOVEREIGN

: having unlimited power or authority : not limited : having independent authority and the right to govern itself

Jesus, You alone are SOVEREIGN!  You created the world (Col. 1:16), You are enthroned in the heavens (Hebrews 1:3) and You hold all things together (Col 1:17)!  You are in complete control of all who govern and judge on the earth.  AND YET, You tell me that the very hairs of my head are all numbered.  That a sparrow does not fall to the ground apart from Your knowledge.  Your ways are too high for me to comprehend, and, You are so intimate as to know my every thought.  Isaiah 55:8 says "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,"  declares the LORD.  "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts."  Oh Jesus, You are SOVEREIGN over all!!  I worship You Jesus!

Worship and praise Jesus today!!  He is SOVEREIGN!
