#31 AUTHORITY

"And a Child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the GOVERNMENT WILL REST on His shoulders;"  Isaiah 9:6

"And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying "All AUTHORITY has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."  Matthew 28:18-20

"Pilate therefore said to Him, "You do not speak to me?  Do You not know that I have authority to release You, and I have authority to crucify You?"  Jesus answered, "You would have no AUTHORITY over Me, unless it had been given you from above;"  John 19:10-11

Jesus, You are the AUTHORITY!  Isaiah says the government will rest on Your shoulders!  You are the One in control and you have all AUTHORITY over heaven and earth!  Pilate thought he had the authority to release or crucify You - but You were the One with all AUTHORITY!!  It was Your choice to be arrested and crucified - for me.  You GAVE Your life - Pilate did not have the AUTHORITY to take it from You.  Oh Jesus, You are King over all - with complete AUTHORITY!!  You alone are worthy of my worship!!!

Worship and praise Him today - Jesus, our AUTHORITY!!
