#52  EXAMPLE

"All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him."  Isaiah 54:6

"For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an EXAMPLE for you to follow in His steps, who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously; and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.  For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls."  I Peter 2:21-25

DEFINITION OF EXAMPLE

: a person or way of behaving that is seen as a model that should be followed

Jesus, You are my EXAMPLE!  You are the One who committed no sin.   While being reviled - You did not revile in return.  When You suffered, You did not threaten those who caused the suffering. You entrusted Your life to Your Father - the One who judges rightly.  Even though I am like a sheep that wanders away constantly - You bore my sin on Yourself.  Oh Jesus, You are my EXAMPLE - the only One who has lived a perfect life, and who willingly GAVE Your life for mine.  I worship You today Jesus!!
