#82 HOLY OFFSPRING

"And Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I am a virgin?"  And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the HOLY OFFSPRING shall be called the Son of God."  Luke 1:35

DEFINITION OF HOLY

:  exalted or worthy of complete devotion as one perfect in goodness and righteousness: divine 

DEFINITION OF OFFSPRING

 a person's child

Jesus, You are the DIVINE CHILD - given from God!!   Mary didn't understand how this could be possible, but Gabriel told her "For nothing will be impossible with God."  God can do anything!  This was Your plan - Your purpose!  You, who are HOLY, left Your throne in heaven to be born as an OFFSPRING to a young virgin girl from Nazareth.  Mary accepted what Gabriel was telling her and SURRENDERED to Your will.  She told Gabriel, "Behold, the bond-slave of the Lord; be it done to me according to your word."  Oh Jesus, nothing is impossible for You!!  You had a plan and a purpose - to come into this world to give Your life as a ransom for mine!  It all started with a young girl who SURRENDERED her life to Your plan.  May I surrender my life as Mary did!!  Oh Jesus, I worship You - You are the HOLY OFFSPRING!!!
