"And I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the LAMB that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing."  And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, "To Him who sits on the throne, and to the LAMB, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever." Rev. 5:11-13

"The next day he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, "Behold the LAMB of God who takes away the sin of the world!" John 1:29.

: the act of giving up something that you want to keep especially in order to get or do something else or to help someone

Jesus, You are the LAMB.  You are the sacrifice that takes away the sin of the world.  You gave Yourself as a sacrificial LAMB - all of my sin would be placed on You at the cross.  You are the substitute.    Your entire life You knew that You were to be the substitute.   You knew that the sin of the whole world would be placed on You and then You would be murdered on a cross.  This is why You were born.  I cannot even begin to fathom what it would be like to know that my whole life.   You WERE the sacrificial LAMB - You were the lamb who was SLAIN for the world.  Your love for me enabled You to endure and face the cross.  The night before Your death,  as You were praying, "Your sweat became like drops of blood" as You faced the reality of what would occur the next day.   Jesus,  You gave Your life that I might live.   "He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."  2 Corinthians 5:21.   You are the LAMB who takes away the sin of the world!   Jesus, this truth changes my life!  I honor You with complete worship, thankfulness and surrender!!
