#55 LORD OF GLORY "Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the LORD OF GLORY. But, as it is written, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has "prepared " for those who love Him." 1 Corinthians 2:6-9

You are the LORD OF GLORY!! You are the One with power and authority who is of great beauty, magnificence, brilliance and splendor!! Paul is preaching about the secret and hidden wisdom of God. The rulers at the time Jesus lived didn't understand this secret and hidden wisdom - or they would not have crucified the LORD OF GLORY. The secret and hidden wisdom of God is more than our eyes have seen, or our ears have heard or our heart has imagined. God has more "prepared" for those He loves than we can ever imagine - in this life and in eternal life to come! We did not understand who You were, Jesus. We did not understand when You came to earth that You were the LORD OF GLORY! You were misunderstood and crucified by the ones You came to save. Jesus, how do I live that would be different if I could fully understand who You are? Jesus, open my eyes to see who You and soften my heart to know You as the LORD OF GLORY - in all Your beauty, magnificence, brilliance and splendor! I worship You, Jesus, the LORD OF GLORY!
