#95 TRUE VINE

JESUS

#95  TRUE VINE -   "I am the TRUE VINE, and My Father is the vinedresser.  Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it, that it may bear more fruit.  You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.  Abide in Me, and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the VINE, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me.  I am the VINE, you are the branches; he who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing."  John 15:1-2

Jesus, You are the TRUE VINE!  The VINE is the stem or trunk of the plant. The branch grows out from the VINE and receives its nourishment and growth from the VINE.  The branch cannot grow on its own.  If it is cut off from the VINE - it will die, literally.  The branch has to "live in" the VINE to get its life. Jesus, You want me to abide - to live in a daily, personal relationship with You! Life flows from You, the VINE, to me. You are my source, my provider, my life! I can do NOTHING of eternal value on my own. I often think I need to do "more" and I wonder if I am "doing enough?" But You have not asked me to "do more" - You have not asked me to "produce" anything on my own! You have only asked me to ABIDE in You - to stay connected to You! Jesus, thank You for being all I need! I worship You as the TRUE VINE!!

(Are you abiding in Jesus? Worship Him and thank Him for being the TRUE VINE!!)#100dayswithjesus
