DAY #6 - BABY

JESUS

DAY #6 - BABY

"And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.  And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear.  And the angel said to them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.  And this will be a sign for you; you will find a BABY wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.  And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom He is pleased!"  When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us."  And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the BABY lying in a manger.'  Luke 2:8-16 (ESV)

Full Definition of BABY

1)   an extremely young child; especially  :  infant

Jesus, the Almighty, King of Kings came to earth as an infant BABY for one purpose.  To give His life for me and for all the people.  This was the good news of great joy that the angels told the shepherds.  The angel also said to the shepherds "and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased!"  Jesus, You are pleased with me - You love me so much that You left Your glorious throne in heaven, to enter a broken world and become a human BABY.    To be born in a feeding trough with animals in a barn.  How can this be?  The Savior of the world, the Majestic and Holy King, came to earth as a BABY.  Thank you Jesus for being pleased with me and for coming to earth and being born in a manger - to die for my sins that I might live forever with You!  I bow before You today - the Almighty King of Kings, who humbled Himself and came to earth as a BABY to give His life for me.  I worship You King Jesus!

(What does this mean to you today, that Jesus left His place in heaven to become a BABY in a broken world, for you?  Thank Him, Praise Him and worship Him today!)
