40 DAYS WITH JESUS

#7  HEALER   "And there came a man named Jairus, who was a ruler of the synagogue.  And FALLING AT JESUS' FEET, he implored Him to come to his house, for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying.  As Jesus went, the people pressed around Him.  While He was still speaking, someone from the ruler's house came and said, "Your daughter is dead, do not trouble the Teacher any more."  But Jesus on hearing this answered him, "Do not fear, only believe, and she will be well."  And when He came to the house, He allowed no one to enter with Him, except Peter and John and James, and the father and mother of the child.  And all were weeping and mourning for her, but He said, "Do not weep, for she is not dead but sleeping."  And they LAUGHED at Him, knowing that she was dead.  But taking her by the hand He called, saying "Child, arise."  And her spirit returned, and she got up at once.  And He directed that something should be given her to eat."  Luke 8:41-42, 49-55 

DEFINITION OF HEALER

: to make someone healthy or well again

Jesus, You are the HEALER!  You have the power to not only make someone healthy again - but to raise them from the dead!  You have power over nature, over sickness, disease and over DEATH!  When John the Baptist asked "Are You the Expected One, or do we look for someone else?"  You answered "Go and report to John what you have seen and heard, the blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the DEAD ARE RAISED UP, the poor have the Gospel preached to them."  The miracles that You performed were the PROOF of who You are!  Jesus, You are the ultimate HEALER!  Through Your death, You provided HEALING spiritually for me.  "But He was pierced though for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by his scourging we are HEALED." (Is. 53:5)  Those You raised to life while You were here, would eventually die again on this earth - but those who believe in You will be HEALED for all eternity!
