#31 CONDEMNED

40 DAYS WITH JESUS

#31  CONDEMNED  "And when Pilate saw that he was accomplishing nothing, but rather that a riot was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the multitude, saying, "I am innocent of this Man's blood; see to that yourselves."  And all the people answered and said "His blood be on us and on our children!"  Matthew 27:24-26   "And he said to them the third time, "Why, what evil has this Man done?  I have found in Him NO GUILT demanding death; I will therefore punish Him and release Him."  But they were insistent, with loud voices asking that He be crucified.  And their voices began to prevail.  And Pilate PRONOUNCED SENTENCE that their demand should be granted."  Luke 23:22-24

 Definition of CONDEMNED

: to declare to be reprehensible, wrong, or evil usually after weighing evidence and without reservation  : to pronounce guilty :  convict :  sentence, doom  : to give someone a usually severe punishment

Jesus, Pilate found NO GUILT in You - and yet You were CONDEMNED.  Even though Pilate washed his hands to remove his responsibility for the decision - he was still held responsible for the final verdict.   He allowed the crowd to influence his decision regarding You - even though he KNEW You were innocent.  Just like Pilate,  I am responsible for my own decisions about You.  I must decide how to live my life regarding You.  If You are who You say You are - then my life must be different.  If You are who You say You are - then I must center my life on You!  You are the I AM, the CHRIST, the One with NO GUILT - who paid the price for my sin.  Jesus, I worship You - the One who was CONDEMNED.

(What decision have you made regarding Jesus?  Worship Him - the One who was CONDEMNED to pay the price for you!)#40dayswithjesus
