#37 SEPARATED

40 DAYS WITH JESUS

#37 SEPARATED  "When the sixth hour came, DARKNESS fell over the whole land until the ninth hour.  At the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, "ELOI, ELOI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?"  which is translated, 'MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?"  Mark 15:33-34

Definition of SEPARATED

: to stop being together, joined, or connected

Jesus, You were SEPARATED from Your Father.   It says that it was DARK while You were dying on the cross, from the sixth hour (noon) until the ninth hour (3:00pm) in the afternoon.  In the Bible, darkness signifies judgment.  The judgment for my sin was placed on You - and You were SEPARATED from Your Father.  This was a loss that You could not bear.  You cried out "My God, My God" - which is such an intimate expression.  This is what You did for me.  I am guilty.  But instead of paying for my own sin, You came down and paid it for me.   This is why You said that the Son of God MUST suffer and die (Mark 8:31).  To pay the penalty for my sin.    Jesus, this is a free gift to me - but it cost You Your life - and it SEPARATED You from Your Father.  How can I thank You enough for paying for my sin?  I worship You, my Jesus!

(When did you accept the gift Jesus gave you? Worship Him, thank Him and praise Him today for being SEPARATED from His Father for you!)#40dayswithjesus
