#36 BRANCH

"Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, and a BRANCH from his roots will bear fruit.  And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and strength, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord."  Isaiah 11:1-2

"Now the Lord said to Samuel,... "Fill your horn with oil, and go; I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I have selected a king for Myself among his sons." 1 Samuel 16:1b

"Behold, the days are coming," declares the Lord, "When I shall raise up for David a righteous BRANCH; and He will reign as King and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land." Jeremiah 23:5

"And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and FAMILY OF DAVID, in order to register, along with Mary, who was engaged to him, and was with child." Luke 2:4-5

 DEFINITION of BRANCH

: a part of a tree that grows out from the trunk   :  a division of a family descending from a particular ancestor

Jesus, You are the righteous BRANCH!  You are the BRANCH from the line of Jesse.  A king was selected from the family of Jesse - King David.  And from the line of King David, came Joseph.  You are the BRANCH that was prophesied by Isaiah to be the One who would reign as King - "to act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land." (Jer. 23:5)  Jesus, You are the promised Messiah! The righteous BRANCH from the line of Jesse!  The One we were waiting for!!  I worship You Jesus - the righteous BRANCH!!

Worship Him and praise Him today for being the promised BRANCH!
