#74 SACRIFICE

"But as it is, He has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the SACRIFICE of Himself."  Hebrews 9:26

"But He, having offered one SACRIFICE for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God, waiting from that time onward until His enemies be made a footstool for His feet.  For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified."  Hebrews 10:12-14

"He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."  2 Corinthians 5:21

DEFINITION OF SACRIFICE

: the act of giving up something that you want to keep especially in order to get or do something else or to help someone 

Jesus, You are my SACRIFICE!  You died once for all in my place - as a SACRIFICE.   You gave up Your life in order to pay for mine.  This is why the announcement of Your birth is the greatest news ever known to man!  You came to be the SAVIOR OF THE WORLD!  The angels told Joseph "And she will bear a Son; and you will call His name Jesus, for it is He who will SAVE His people from their sins."!!  You have saved me from my sin by being my SACRIFICE!  Thank you Jesus - for coming to earth as a baby to pay the penalty for my sin!  Once and for all!  My SACRIFICE!

Worship and praise Jesus - the One who gave up His life as our SACRIFICE!
