#58 KING

"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!  Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem!  Behold, your KING is coming to you; He is just and endowed with salvation, humble, and mounted on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey."  Zechariah 9:9

"Pilate therefore entered again into the Praetorium, and summoned Jesus, and said to Him, "Are You the KING of the Jews?"  Jesus answered, "My KINGDOM is not of this world.  If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting, that I might not be delivered up to the Jews; but as it is, My KINGDOM is not of this realm."  Pilate therefore said to Him, "So You are  a KING?" Jesus answered, "You say correctly that I am a KING.  For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth.  Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."  John 18:33, 36-37

DEFINITION OF KING

  :  a male monarch of a major territorial unit; especially  :  one whose position is hereditary and who rules for life   :  a paramount chief; capitalized  :  God, Christ

Jesus, You are a KING!  Zechariah pointed to the KING who would ride in humbly on a donkey.  You fulfilled this prophesy when You rode into Jerusalem on a donkey - but You were not the KING they were expecting.  Your Kingdom was not of this realm - but You came to provide a way for us to come into Your KINGDOM!  Thank You Jesus - for being the KING, who gave up Your throne in heaven to come to earth as a humble baby.  I can trust that You are completely in control today!   I worship You Jesus!!
