#61 REFINER
#61 REFINER
"Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the Messenger of the Covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming," say the Lord of hosts. "But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a REFINER'S fire and like fullers' soap." Malachi 3:1-2
"Yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blamelesss and beyond reproach." Col. 1:22
DEFINITION OF REFINER
: to remove the unwanted substances in something : to free from impurities or unwanted material: to free from moral imperfection : elevate: to improve or perfect by pruning or polishing : to become pure or perfected
Jesus, You are the REFINER. You are the One who improves and perfects. Malachi asks "Who can stand when He appears?" No one. I could not stand before You, Jesus. I need a REFINER. Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Because I have sinned and could not stand before You - You became sin and paid the penalty for me. You received the REFINER'S fire for me - on the cross. I now stand before You - holy and blameless and beyond reproach! I bow before You Jesus - the One who paid for my sin and REFINED me!!
Worship and praise Jesus today for being the REFINER!
(Have you thanked Jesus for paying the penalty for your sin?)
