JESUS

#50   LION - "And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a book written inside and on the back, sealed up with seven seals.  And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the book and to break its seals?"  And no one in heaven, or on the earth, or under the earth, was able to open the book, or to look into it.  And I began to weep greatly, because no one was found worthy to open the book, or to look into it; and one of the elders said to me, "Stop weeping; behold, the LION that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the book and its seven seals."  Revelation 5:5

Jesus, You are the LION!  You are the One who has OVERCOME  and who is WORTHY to open the book!   You are worthy because You gave Your life for our sins!   Jesus, as a LION, You have great strength, You are mighty and strong!  You are all-powerful and all-knowing!  I think of the way C. S. Lewis portrays Jesus as the Lion, Aslan.  “Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.  You are not a "tame lion" that I can manipulate or convince to do what I think is best.  But because You are good and love me - I can trust that you will always do what is right!!  You are more powerful than I can ever imagine - and You reign forever as the sovereign King - the LION!!  Jesus, when I think of you as a LION, I bow in awe and wonder at who You are - the mighty, powerful King - the LION!!
