"And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.  And it happened that while they were perplexed about this, behold, two men suddenly stood near them in dazzling apparel; and as the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, "Why do you seek the living One among the dead?  He is not here, but He has RISEN.  Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified and the third day RISE again?"  Luke 24:2-7

Jesus, You are RISEN!!  You were dead - and now You are alive!  I have heard this all my life - and it tends to lose its power to amaze me.   But I recently attended a funeral of a dear friend.  I cannot fathom how I would react if I were to go to his gravesite and  2 men in dazzling white told me that he had risen from the dead.   I would be terrified and drop down on the ground just like they did!   Then in the next few days, if I saw him personally, speaking and eating, I would NEVER get over it!!  It would be the most amazing thing I had ever experienced or known about.   This is exactly what happened to the disciples - they NEVER got over it!  This was Your purpose for coming to earth - to be crucified, buried and to RISE again to conquer death!  You told them everything that was going to happen - your arrest, crucifixion, burial - and that You would RISE again on the third day!   It occurred just as You said!  The disciples saw you personally after You had RISEN, they talked and ate with you.  It says in Acts 1:3 that You appeared to them over a period of 40 days after Your resurrection and before Your ascension.  The rest of their lives they lived to tell others about You.   It is TRUE!!!  Jesus, You were RISEN!!!  You have power over death and because of that truth, I also will live with You forever!!  May I never get over the amazing truth that You are the RISEN ONE!!  You alone are worthy of my worship!!!
