JESUS

#58  MAN  "Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged Him.  And the soldiers wove a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and arrayed Him in a purple robe; and they began to come up to Him, and say "Hail, King of the Jews!" and to give Him blows in the face.   And Pilate came out again, and said to them, "Behold, I am bringing Him out to you that you may know that I find no guilt in Him."  Jesus therefore came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe.  And Pilate said to them, "Behold, the MAN!"  John 19:1-5

"For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the MAN Christ Jesus." 1 Tim. 2:5

Full Definition of MAN

  :  an individual human  :  an adult male human :  the human race

Jesus, You were MAN!!  You were fully MAN and yet You were fully God.     Jesus, You became a MAN - You lived among us, were tempted as I am and suffered as a MAN. You experienced hunger and thirst, You were weary and tired, You laughed and wept, You experienced pain and sorrow.  You felt the heartache of being betrayed by a close friend.  You were tempted by Satan - and yet - You had NO SIN.  "...One who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin." (Heb. 4:15)  You were the perfect MAN and the perfect God.  You had no pride,  no unrighteous anger,  no selfishness, no fear.   You never failed to listen and obey Your Father.  You suffered  before Pontius Pilate - who had You beaten and ridiculed You with a crown and a robe.  You endured blows to Your face.  For me.  For the sins of the whole world.  This is why You came - this is why You were born - to die for the sins of the world.  You had to be fully MAN and fully God, to fulfill the role as my substitute sacrifice.  You, the perfect MAN - and the perfect God, came to earth to GIVE Your life as a MAN for me.  You are my perfect example as a MAN and You understand all that I go through because You experienced it also.   Jesus, I bow before You - what a comfort it is to me to know that You were fully MAN - One who has walked this earth!  Thank You for giving up Your throne in heaven to come to earth as a MAN!
