DAY #17 - CORNERSTONE

#17 CORNERSTONE - "Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders, if we are being examined today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed, let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead - by Him this man is standing before you well.  This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the CORNERSTONE.  And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."  Acts 4:11-12

Full Definition of CORNERSTONE

1 :  a stone uniting two masonry walls at an intersection

2 : something that is essential, indispensable, or basic, true

3.  :the chief foundation on which something is constructed or developed

Jesus, You are the CORNERSTONE.  You are essential, indispensable, basic and true.   You provide the true and accurate foundation for my life and my faith.  Jesus, You were rejected by the religious leaders of Your day because You were not who they thought the Messiah would be - but You are the One who has provided salvation for all of mankind.  There is salvation in no one else!  You were the only One who was crucified for my sin and raised from the dead!   Only through You - the CORNERSTONE - will my sins be forgiven.  It is not on the basis of anything I have done - only through You the CORNERSTONE!  Jesus, I can't earn it or repay You, I can only believe and  worship You today for being the CORNERSTONE - the only name through which men may be saved!
