40 DAYS WITH JESUS

#14 PASSIONATE    "And they came to Jerusalem.  And He entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons.  And He would not permit anyone to carry anything through the temple.  And He began to teach and say to them, "Is it not written, 'MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR ALL THE NATIONS?    But you have made it a DEN OF ROBBERS." And the chief priests and the scribes heard it, and were seeking a way to destroy Him; for they feared Him, because all the crowd was astonished at His teaching."  Mark 11:15-18

 Definition of PASSIONATE

: having, showing, or expressing strong emotions or beliefs

Jesus, You were PASSIONATE!  You took action for what You believed!   When You saw the temple being used for selling oxen, sheep and pigeons, instead of prayer, You were not passive - You took action.  "Take these things away, stop making MY FATHER'S HOUSE a house of merhandise." John 2:16  The temple was to be used for prayer for ALL the nations.  You were PASSIONATE about Your Father's House being used as it should have been.  When I see the injustice of our world, I  feel so overwhelmed and I wonder if I can make any difference - but You, Jesus, did not stand idly by and watch.  You took a stand - even though You were opposed for it!  Jesus, You were a man who PASSIONATELY believed in what was true and lived Your life to prove it!  You were also so PASSIONATE to redeem the world - that You went to the cross!  I worship You Jesus - thank You for being PASSIONATE!

(What are you PASSIONATE about?  Are you taking action to make a difference?  Worship Jesus, the One who was PASSIONATE about truth!)#40dayswithjesus
