#18 PIERCED

"For dogs have surrounded me; A band of evildoers has encompassed me; They PIERCED my hands and my feet.  I can count all my bones.  They look, they stare at me;" Psalm 22:16

"The soldiers therefore came, and broke the legs of the first man, and of the other man who was crucified with Him; but coming to Jesus, when they saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs; but one of the soldiers PIERCED His side with a spear, and immediately there came out blood and water." John 19:32--37, Zech 12:10, Rev. 1:7

Definition of PIERCED

:  to run into or through as a pointed weapon does :  stabb:  to enter or thrust into sharply or painfully

Oh Jesus, this was prophesied years before in Psalms 22.  Your hands and feet were PIERCED on the cross.  In order to discern if You were really dead, they PIERCED Your side instead of breaking Your bones.  In Zecharaiah, it says "so that they will look on Me whom they have PIERCED,"  Jesus, hundreds of years before, the Old Testament was pointing to a Savior who would die on the cross for my sins.  One who would be PIERCED in His hands and feet.  I worship You Jesus, for enduring the cross, having Your hands and feet PIERCED for me.  I worship You, Jesus, my Savior!!

(Have you realized all that He went through on the cross?  Worship Him and praise Him for being PIERCED you!!)#100dayswithjesus
