#31 - GUARDIAN OF YOUR SOULS

"For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously; and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.  For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and GUARDIAN OF YOUR SOULS."  I Peter 2:21-25

Jesus, You are the GUARDIAN OF MY SOUL.   You are the One who keeps, protects and watches over my soul,  now and forever in eternity with you.  Jesus, in order to guard my soul, You gave Your life for me on the cross.  You were perfect and had no sin - but You suffered and were reviled for me.  You did not utter any threats when You were suffering under the hands of cruel men.  ("Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, and like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, so He did not open His mouth." Is. 53:7)  You entrusted Yourself to God - knowing that He had a plan for your suffering.    Jesus, because of Your love for me, You did not even retaliate when You were being unjustly treated.  You could have destroyed Your enemies - but You patiently endured - because You were entrusting Yourself to God who had a plan of redemption for me.    This is why You came - this was Your purpose on earth.   Jesus, You as the perfect example, gave Your life for me on the cross that I might be free from the penalty and power of sin.    Oh Jesus, I worship You - the One who was like a lamb led to slaughter - for me.  You laid down Your life to be the GUARDIAN OF MY SOUL.

(How are you entrusting yourself to Jesus today?   Thank Him, praise Him and WORSHIP HIM for being the GUARDIAN OF YOUR SOUL!!)#100dayswithjesus
