#32 - HEAD OF THE CHURCH

"For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities - all things have been created by Him and for Him and He is before all things and in Him all things hold together.  He is also HEAD OF THE BODY, THE CHURCH, and He is the beginning, the first-born from the dead; so that He Himself might come to have first place in everything."  Colossians 1:16-18

:  Ekklesia :to call out; the called people; all who were called by and to Christ in the fellowship of His salvation, the church worldwide of all times

Jesus, You created all things - both in the heavens and the earth,  both visible and invisible!  All things were created by You and for You!  You were before all things - and You hold all things together (You are the One by whom everything continues to exist!)  Jesus, You are the HEAD - the One who gives leadership and supplies the spiritual life to the body of believers (I Cor. 12:27), the CHURCH, in the whole world for all time.  There is no one higher than YOU, there is no one greater than YOU.  You are the HEAD (Eph. 1:22-23) over all things to the church.  This gives me great peace to know that You are HEAD OF THE CHURCH.   Jesus, my only response is to bow my knees before You.  You are higher and greater than anything my heart can imagine - You are the One who created everything that exists and You are the One who holds it together.  You are the One who is the HEAD OF THE CHURCH - and You give leadership at all times to YOUR BODY of believers, YOUR CHURCH.  I bow before You Jesus, the HEAD OF THE CHURCH!!
